HISTORY OF THE COMPANY'S CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT -Firs-

The company's history dates back to 1988. This is the year of foundation of our, in fact, family furniture dynasty.

My grandfather Misha used to do woodcarving, and what can I say - his hands grew from the right place. And the orders from his fellow villagers did not keep him waiting. In those days every man in the house did everything with his own hands, and the house was built and the roof was roofed. But harvesting, sowing and, of course, farming took a lot of time. And then my grandfather was approached by local residents for the manufacture of various household utensils. To make a door, or a window. In fact, everything was barter. My grandfather would make oak windows for his neighbor, and they would help him dig potatoes in return. That's how we lived.

As time went on, my grandfather's outbuilding was equipped with more and more tools: chisels, jigsaws, planers and other paraphernalia. The outhouse expanded into a personal workshop, and my grandfather became more and more immersed in his favorite business.

Soon the children grew up, some went to the city, some to other countries. But my grandfather Misha still supplied the locals with his quality products.
At some point, I was born. I will not describe all my 12 years of growing up and will start with the basics. Every summer vacation I was eager to go to the countryside. After all, it is so great: river, forest, mushrooms, berries! But in addition to these joys, I always curiously watched the painstaking work of my grandfather. Seeing my interest in his work, from time to time in the evenings my grandfather told me about this or that method of woodworking. He explained that the material for work is alive and it must be loved. Of course, I could not understand the subtle nuances at that time. But time passed, I grew up. And my interest in my grandfather's work did not fade, but only on the contrary. Grandfather, of course, liked it. Favorite grandson, and even with such passion is interested in his favorite business. Every year I took more and more part in the work together with him.

I grew up and started coming to the village more often, helping my grandfather not as a journeyman or apprentice, but as a partner. Sometimes he even trusted me to make a small tabletop on my own. Then my joy was boundless.

At one point, unfortunately, Grandpa Misha was gone. By that time I had finished school and started studying at the institute. The years flew by, but thoughts of the old shed with a pile of tools did not leave me. One day I gathered my thoughts and went to the village. My grandmother welcomed me with strong hugs, fed me pancakes and fresh country milk.

After a hearty lunch, I promptly headed to the barn where my grandfather and I were doing business.
There was an old barn lock on the door. It was obvious that it hadn't been used for a long time. I wondered if there was nothing else here. Was everything lost? So I went to my grandmother to ask what had happened to our workshop.

Grandma smiled, opened an old dresser, from which she took out a knitted handkerchief with a key in it. I realized that everything was in its place. It was as if Grandma had been waiting for this moment.
Taking the key, I rushed to our workshop. I hadn't been here in five years! How things had changed...
The roof was leaking in some places, the window was leaning and the whole instrument was covered with dust and cobwebs. The good thing was that everything was in place !

I've embarked on a cleaning and repair project!
Cleared all the debris, repaired the roof, and started cleaning tools.

For 3 days I was busy restoring an iconic place for me. Finally, after shaking off my hands, I saw a completely new look for our workshop. At that moment, I realized it was fate. I must continue what my grandfather had done. After all, I already had a huge amount of knowledge and enough experience!

And now I am working here in the village of Astrava, experimenting with different types of wood, types of processing. I like to create author's pieces of furniture and decor, each of which is handmade. And the material is chosen very scrupulously. It is wood with a history, a bright texture and a wide geography.
